Can you believe it’s been eight years since we first cleaned beautiful Highway 286 from one end to the other — ALL THE WAY TO THE BORDER.
As far as anyone knows ATWTTB is the only Adopt-a-Highway project to pick up trash on an entire highway. And once again on Saturday 28 January 2023 you’ll have a chance to be a part of Highway Clean-up History. Yep, we’ll clean from Three Points to Sasabe and try to break our 2022 record of 45 miles and take
well over 200 bags of unsightly and dangerous trash off the roadway.
Put 28 January 2023 on your calendar now and look out for more and more remarkably annoying but somewhat endearing emails with more details. We can always use more boots on the roadway so get the word out to friends, family and other organizations you may belong to.
As usual the alborotadores at Rancho Sierra Vista de Sasabe are to blame for all this. Along with the Altar Valley Conservation Alliance, Trico Electric Cooperative and all our friends at the Arizona Department of Transportation and a bunch of others we’ll tell you about later.
We all look forward to seeing you in January!
